🔸Durante los últimos años se ha hipotetizado que la realización de ejercicio
aeróbico en ayuna podría ser superior a la hora de disminuir el porcentaje de grasa. Al parecer, esto sería solamente una mala interpretación del metabolismo energético.

🔸En esta gráfica se presenta un estudio realizado por Schoenfeld y col. quienes
asignaron a 20 mujeres a dos grupos (cardio en ayuna vs alimentado) durante
4 semanas con un volumen de entrenamiento igualado, con la finalidad de
comparar los cambios en la masa grasa y masa libre de grasa.

🔸A los sujetos estudiados se les proveyó de una dieta hipocalórica con el fin de
asegurar que ambos grupos estuvieran en similares condiciones. El entrenamiento consistió en 1h de ejercicio aeróbico continuo 3x semana.
.
🔸Los resultados de este estudio van de la mano con las conclusiones de un metaanalisis publicado el año 2017 (Hackett et al), cuyos resultados señalan que los cambios en la disminución del % de grasa entre ejercicio en ayuna vs alimentado son mínimos y poco significativos.

🔸Pareciera ser que independiente en el horario que realices el ejercicio aeróbico, lo que sigue primando es el déficit calórico. Nuevamente, cambios agudos en la utilización de un sustrato energético no necesariamente implicaría cambios crónicos.

🔸El metabolismo es bastante dinámico. Es importante interpretarlo de manera correcta. Si bien aún hay una puerta muy abierta para más investigaciones, hasta el minuto hay una fuerte tendencia a señalar que si realizas ejercicio aeróbico, lo puedes hacer en el horario que más te acomode, porque realizarlo en ayuna no traería, al parecer, ningún beneficio adicional en la composición corporal.

Barbell Staff Style?!
After my arm workout today, I was talking with a couple fellow martial artist and we started to discuss weighted staff/glaive training. Without thinking about, I grabbed the 45lb barbell and started doing staff techniques. Honestly 45lbs was a bit difficult to control completely but it’s not out of the realm of possibility! Really out into perspective that the muscles I have put in these past six weeks haven’t been just for looks.
Also, since I was wearing my @tridentapparelofficial Black Stinger, I felt it was appropriate to end with a “God of the Sea” pose. How else does one become a Son of Poseidon”?

5. I worked so hard I could ring my shirt out after my workout thats how much sweat I had!! .
