Did you know it’s #breastfeedingcelebrationweek2019? It’s incredible how different everyone’s breastfeeding stories are and there is so much we can celebrate. After a very traumatic attempt with my first, I stopped at 6 weeks as I had no supply, it was incredibly emotional and hard to get over the feeling that I’d let her down, and my body had let me down. Even though before I gave birth I was convinced that I wouldn’t be able to feed, and that it would be ok if I couldn’t, I still found it difficult when faced with the reality. I now know it was because I suffered a considerable blood loss in labour which wasn’t dealt with properly and my body was in shock. With my second, I was determined to try again despite my anxiety and I’m pleased to report that we’ve just reached our 10 month milestone!
We are really excited for Bump & Boo business @tandbelle whose Kickstarter campaign for their gorgeous breastfeeding celebration pins is well underway. Pop on over to their page and check them out, we have our eye on the silver boobs!
We’d love to hear about your breastfeeding celebrations! It’s hard work, sometimes it doesn’t work, it’s emotional, it’s draining, it’s incredible, it can be rewarding but sometimes is just doesn’t work and doesn’t go as planned.
It’s another massive life change on the road into parenthood and whatever your experience we know you’ve done more than your best and you deserve to celebrate!
