Overtraining e Overreaching
Já ouviu falar em Overtraining ou Overreaching?
Consistem em uma serie de sinais de sintomas como queda do rendimento, alteração no peso, alterações no sono e humor, falta de libido, resfriados frequentes entre outros.
Essas alterações ocorrem em virtude de uma adaptação negativa ao treinamento que está sendo aplicado. Normalmente se apresentam quando há um aumento no volume e/ou intensidade.
Diminuição da performance em um curto período de tempo após aumento volume e/ou intensidade. Apresentando alterações de aumento da frequência cardíaca em repouso, fadiga e dificuldade na recuperação. Tende a se ajustar com diminuição da carga, melhora do repouso e ajustes nutricionais.
🔹Overtraining ou Síndrome do Supertreinamento
Também apresenta queda do rendimento, porém os sintomas tendem a se apresentar tardiamente (30 – 90 dias após alteração no treino) e apresentam alterações metabólicas, cardiovasculares, imunológicas, hormonais e psicológicas. Tratamento também e com diminuição do treino e por vezes até interrupção, aumento do repouso, ajustes nutricionais e controle das alterações ocasionadas da adaptação negativa ao treino.

I know from experience that I am simply a better person all the way around when exercise is part of my week. When it comes to consistency, there are two key components that work for me. My #1 is having a specific goal to work toward. The #MoveMore Challenge, for example, has kept me tracking consistently even through my vacation and most hectic summer weeks so far. I always track my activity more consistently when I have specific goals I am working on. My #2 is keeping my fitness and training positive through social interaction. I love my friends @crossfitupshot . Just being in this type of group setting keeps me fired up about working out. I have also been trying to sprinkle in scheduled workouts, classes and other forms of activity with friends and family. Many of our best conversations and laughs together have taken place during these times. My biggest advice is to find what works best for you and find ways to make it fun. Is the disc model for spine derangement still relevant? In some cases it can be relevant like teaching someone extremely anatomy centric like a health care worker or patient who has their beliefs tied to the anatomy and a diagnosis. Remember we need to meet them where they are and develop trust before immediately re-educating and reframing. •
The good news is that disc reabsorb, heal and certainly do not slip. Most discs reabsorb in 3-6 months and in as little as 3 weeks one can be 50% reabsorbed. Also a significant number of people have died changes on images but absolutely no pain or symptoms. While some literature suggests they are common pain generators we cannot be certain based on current evidence about pain and spine pain. •
Based on a strong body of evidence it would appear for the average person who has no prior beliefs about dics this concept should never be mentioned nor called a derangement to their face. We have other ways of explaining this phenomenon that are less threatening. •
A large body of literature is out there to support that using anatomical terms are less effective than explaining pain and embracing some of the uncertainty surrounding lower back pain. Words like torn, ripped, degenerating, bulging, herniated etc are not helpful for our patients. We can just as well explain the phenomenon of mechanical nocioception without those terms. Lower back pain can also present with peripheral neurogenic symptoms and central sensitization. •
Also discs are fickle and don’t always show significant changes on imaging when symptoms are lessening or completely gone and stable. Especially in the lumbar spine. And many people have back pain with no disc changes at all on an Image. •
So if in doubt leave the disc out. Out of the conversation that is. I’m a firm believe in what Robin McKenzie used to say, that he didn’t care what the tissue was so long as he found the right approach for that individual patient and was able to help them get better. A place where i got confidence tnx to Katinka and everyone. A place where i pushed “scaled” boundaries. Where i ate a lot of cakes. A places that gave me friends from all over the globe.
