Whether you’re a cocktail aficionado or you just can’t pass up a good deal, we can all agree that happy hour has become a sacred ritual in Hong Kong 🇭🇰. You know we love to know the history behind things 🤓, so we’ve dug up how the tradition of ‘cheap’ libations after work began for you.
Let’s go back to 1914 🇺🇸, it was actually the Navy that invented it by funnily enough, it didn’t involve ‘alcohol’, more of an entertainment program to alleviate the boredom of life at sea. 😂 It wasn’t until Prohibition that Americans began using the term for drinking.
We’ve been using the term for drinking every Tue-Sun from 6-8pm (lol). But if you’re going to imbibe, please do so responsibly, will ya! 🍻 #HappyHour #BeefandLiberty #ThirstyThursday
