3 WHINEY MEN OUT FOR A RUN
Tonight’s shop run was cancelled so captain @kirky_99 quickly assembled what I can only describe as the dream team🤣 @willgoodacre @kirky_99 @pat_runs_everywhere when this runner lark ends we’ll become the next big boy band.
After tonight’s run we could be signed up to local working men’s clubs and backstreet bars soon.
We all had a good whinge and moan. It wasn’t anything to do with anyone but our own issues with how crappy our bodies felt. From mile 1 my calves ached, Kirk felt hungry, we both needed a pee, Patrick felt heavy and trying to keep the legs ticking over felt tough for all of us. But this is where the magic happens.
See, running on your own you can slack off or even cut the run short, but when you run with others you push each other, sometimes without even having to speak.
These two guys are such good running friends and I love that we all feel comfortable to have a good moan but also trust each other to pick each other up and push that little bit harder even when we feel it’s time to give in. Tonight was a tough run but it was so much fun in so many ways.
If your struggling to run, lost your mojo or need someone to help push you harder, the best advice I can give is find some awesome running friends it will completely change your running journey.
Thanks for tonight gents.
Standard 3 way selfie to finish😜
