New low of 85.7kg this morning, progress is definitely slowing down now. Time to increase cardio and clean up nutrient timing.
Strength holding massively! No strength losses at all yet, intensity at an all time high. Now's the time to focus 100% of rest and recovery so that I can keep pushing the workouts as hard as possible.
The only thing that let me down here was grip strength, otherwise I would've gone for the 8.Tried again with straps and managed to hit the 50's for 6 which I'm pretty impressed about. The only problem being it's not easy to RDL @ 6ft 3!

-The Nordic curl, many people think that it is a partner exercise and that you need someone to hold onto your feet. Here is an example that I use to set myself up without a partner and to practice my curls with a minimal 5kg resistance. -By doing the nordic curl you will increase eccentric strength, and vastly decrease the odds of getting a hamstring injury. (This is in part because it lengthens the hamstring itself.) This makes this exercise perfect for many athletes that are involved in a sprinting/fast paced environment where pulling up with a hamstring injury is all too common. It is also perfect for hypertrophy and developing the muscle. -Will doing this exercise make you able to lifting bigger weights? Will your deadlift increase? It can help a little if your hamstrings are weak but ultimately it isn't specific to strength training. It’s an exercise that’s really good at the eccentric phase, but in powerlifting you’re looking at the concentric phase, so alternatively if you want to increase your deadlift you should do more back extensions, reverse hypers and stiff legged deadlifts. -If you want a strong functional body it is worth incorporating into your leg day.

For many beginners getting into shape can be a challenge as it does require a level of discipline and dedication. Here are some tips to help achieve this.

1: Setting goals - Check you weight, body measurements and decide what you want to achieve. If it is to lose fat or gain weight/muscle then how many calories must you consume? When do you think it is realistically possible to achieve these goals with the calories set? How often must you work out? Usually a 200-300 calorie deficit or increase is safe starting point to consider.

2: Tracking Macros 🥘 - Regardless of your goals, it's very important to know your macros and be consistent. This ensures you are getting in your nutrients and the appropriate level of protein, carbs and fats to help you reach your goals.

3: Keep Hydrated - Water speeds up our metabolic rate and helps prevent over eating thus helping to lose weight. Our body and muscles are made up of mostly water and also uses water to regulate our body's temp.

4: Exercise - 🏋️‍♀️ You need to work your body out atleast 3 times per week to see significant results. Making this a part of your weekly routine and remaining consistent is the key. Stick to simple program, there's no need to over complicate things. Ensure the exercise is always challenging and that you are progressively increasing the sets / reps, weights / time spent (depending on your goal).

5: Improve your sleep 😴 - Recovery is very important and it happens while your body is in a rested state (asleep).Get an average of 7-9 hours for enough recovery.

I am finishing up a short reload (time off the gym) but here are some back exercises you can add to your next lift! Not everyday you’re going to wake up motivated as hell but if you can just power through the workouts you would rather skip, you will be unstoppable and that much greater!! 👏🏻😅👙
1️⃣Plate Rows
I really like this as a warmup! My stance is wide enough to accommodate for the plate when I pull. Make sure you are bracing your core!! 🙌🏼
2️⃣Landmine Staggered Stance Rows
As I row, I allow for a stretch in my lat before I pull back. My grip is also neutral. I have superset this with BB bicep curls.
3️⃣Landmine Supine Grip Rows
This exercise will also engage your bicep because of the supine grip 👍🏻! My forearm is also resting on my lower quad for support.
4️⃣Cable High Rows
I am allowing the cable machine to stretch my lat before pulling back/contracting 💪🏻. This exercise feels soooo good 🤤.
5️⃣ Little dose of toddler cuteness 🥰. I would rather be rock climbing/swinging 🧗‍♂️with my little man atm.
