In september I will work at Demix for 4 years and seriously I can NOT miss this place. I have learned everything about fitness here and there is still so much to learn🤩.
Also @gymshark had been a big part of my fitness journey. I never liked training more than in their gymwear and their athletes are such an inspo for me!!🥰 Hopefully one day I can be part of the athletes to show people my story and spread my knowledge as upcoming physiotherapist🤓.

Too set from tonight 155kg x2 so happy to be back pulling big again. Only 5kg off my 1rm.
All thanks to @ash_oph @luke_oph7 and @optimal_performance_health nursing me back after an injury m. Not letting me do anything silly but pushing at the right time! One thing I’ve found from the past few years of working with overhead athletes is the prevalence of issues caused by poor scapular control, and dyskinesis. -
If the glenoid (socket of the shoulder blade which is formed by the scapula) doesn’t upwardly rotate properly like it should it can cause impingement issues, labrum problems, and more. -
Developing straight arm strength can help regain scapular control and the straight arm lat pull down is just one progression and exercise of many to regain stability within a certain ROM. -
Coming from a sports medicine background and working with athletes diagnosing, treating, and preventing injury has been instrumental on my own personal choice of exercise selection and programming.

Balls deep into my weight cut for my USAPL Raw Nationals qualifier in 2 weeks. The lower calories have been making this peaking phase harder on my body than normal. So I’ve been TRYING to take the right recovery measures. My favorite form of recovery is by far the sauna.

Been regularly using the sauna for over 3 years now, long before I started powerlifting. Lately it has been exploding into the social zeitgeist with personalities such as Joe Rogan talking about all the general health benefits saunas offer. If you have the chance to use one, capitalize on the opportunity.

New PR for reps at 405 lbs! My shoulder surgery is slated for August 6th 👨‍⚕️🏥💉, so I\'m going to utilize this valuable time to work on breaking PRs and building up my body. 225 +100 lbs of chains total of 325 at the top. THIS FEELS SO HEAVY. Sprained my ankle in my soccer game last night but that’s life. One thing I’ve been thinking about is changing your entire life while you’re in prep. I could easily say “no soccer” for the entire prep because I’m prepping but part of lifting is balancing the things you love. I don’t believe in that. Live life to the fullest and don’t change what you normally do so that you can be safe or rested. If you’re doing that you’re failing at life. Yeah I hurt myself but I’ll heal that’s part of life. If you have to restrict yourself from things that you love/make you happy to feel that you’ll succeed a bit more in lifting you’re doing it wrong. Just my two cents.
