I eat all foods depending on what I feel on the day…
There are days I will have sandwiches 🥪 at every meal and there are days I will have only have salads only 🥗, It really depends on what I feel like on that day and what my body is craving.
There is no right or wrong with what you choose to eat, if it fits your lifestyle and it makes you feel good than its good for you.
There are so many diets out there. Keto, paleo, whole 30, low fat etc… If you come across any of these and you feel like you can stick to it long term as a ‘lifestyle change” then it will work for you.
But if you’re in it to only lose x amount of weight than go back to your old eating habits because you lost the weight than I can assure you - you will gain the weight back on. This is why there is so many yo yo dieters.
I speak to some many people everyday and always hear they cant stick to a diet. I suggest if you’re trying to lose weight and don't want to be on the yo yo roller coaster start by making little changes everyday.
When I started my journey I cut out all fried foods and soft drinks. They were the main things that I changed and I started seeing results which motivated me to make more changes.
At the end of the day there is no single food that will make you lose or gain weight, if you want to lose weight you need to be in a calorie deficit (eat less calories than you burn) & if you want to gain weight you need to be in a calorie surplus, (eat more than you burn). Simple as that. ✨

My absolute fave breakfast - on plan! Smoked salmon, avocado and eggs on toast are my dream breakfast any day 😍🙌🏼 I know some people aren’t a fan but I love it!!

We’re going on holiday today!! (Can you tell I’m excited? Do you think I’ve mentioned it enough? 🤔😂) we fly late afternoon so this will be all I eat until we get to the airport! I always have this when I want a filling and delicious breakfast, and it feels like such a treat even though it’s completely on plan!

Training doesn't have to be 1 to 1 in person to achieve a #bodytransformation . Here is my online client @absurd_camoose after 6 months of working with me remotely. Even though he was quite active, doing muay thai, he wasn't able to achieve his #fitnessgoals . After training with me, he lost 11% bodyfat, and put on 3kg of #muscles ! He is also stronger and fitter now! He achieved all these without going on any extreme #crashdiet , abstaining from any particular food group.

When someone talks about calories and say that all calories are equal then they need to read this post.
We all know that to loose fat we need to be in a calorie deficit but at the same time it’s very important in terms of the source of those calories. As in the chart you can see the Nutrient dense foods are roughly 1800 calories and that food can last for a whole day plus it gives a lot of nutrients like Vitamins and minerals.
Where as Calorie Dense foods as shown above are above 2000 calories plus there is hardly any nutrient in that food. You can eat that meal for a time and still feel hungry after some time causing calorie surplus which hinders your fat loss.
Still You can eat 1800 calories to lose fat by eating calorie dense foods but without the nutrients your body will fell weak, hormones will go for a toss, your skin will lose its glow and will lead to hair loss.
So now it’s your choice to lose weight with Nutrient dense food and enjoy your life or follow some foolish calorie dense food diet and ruin your health.

Your limits on what you can do start there.
Limiting beliefs and self sabotage are the biggest stumbling block to overcome.
One of my biggest aspirations with my clients and personal training studio was to help them understand that their mindset is why they never achieve the results that they want.
Once they become aware of why they are getting in their own way they then can overcome it.

Food used to be my answer to everything: loneliness, procrastination, celebration, boredom, sadness or overwhelm. I used it like a drug, and honestly, it felt like one. It gave me a temporary high during the lows & it heightened the good times.

I didn’t realize how bad it had gotten until I woke up one day & realized I was 35lbs overweight. Food was my coping mechanism & it showed.

I was sabotaging myself. I would eat because I was lonely, overwhelmed & overweight, but it only made it 10x worse. Peanut butter, granola, and pints of Ben & Jerrys were my best friends. ⁣⠀
I *knew* what I had to do, but I couldn’t figure out *how* stop or get out of the cycle.

Fast forward to today: I am no longer controlled by food because I know I control it. I eat for hunger. Sound simple? Sure, but it took me a long time to break thru my emotional eating habit.
Eat the world of MANTRAS (phrases you repeat to yourself). They rewire your brain if you practice enough & help you overcome self-sabotage & eliminate the need to use food to cope with your problems.

Repeating them to yourself often enough will cause you to start to believe in them. The more you practice, the more you believe in them. The brain makes this a pattern to make it easier for you 🤯

Tuesday 8/19/19 - Actually surprised about my deficit. Was totally bummed I couldn’t go to F45, but happy I committed to going to yoga (yay!). My upper back has been painful for over a year now due to sitting at my desk at work for so long and my right side of my upper back is extremely tense and painful. I’ve had so many masseuse tell me how much I need stretch and get massages because it will only worsen. So I am committed to making my back better. I had a massage last week and will continue to get them every two weeks while doing yoga. Although the yoga class wasn’t that great in my opinion I’m proud of going!

Weighed myself this morning, wasn’t an accurate representation of where I should be, felt sad about it, moved on, happy as Larry🤓 .
Honestlyyyy, FUCK the scales I genuinely cannot stress that enough. They are not always an accurate guide to where your progress is and they should absolutely not be the only weigh (haha, get it) you monitor progress! I have been killing my sessions and my nutrition but I nearly let my relationship with gravity dishearten me. .
Instead today I used the fact that my 30kg box squats were flying up so I should be going heavier now and my body weight split squats are feeling easy enough now to add some weight. Now that is progress people 🤪 .
